Our First Week in Colorado

Our first week in Denver was very adventurous. The first day we were here was Father's Day. It was fun to be with Jordan after not being with him for a month.
On Monday, we checked out the Cherry Creek Mall. In the mall they have this playland, it has bigger than life breakfast food. Bananas, bacon, eggs, waffles, and a big bowl of cereal. Nissa loved it!

On Tuesday we went to the Denver Zoo and bought a zoo pass. (We live within walking distance, and figured this would be a fun thing for Nissa and I to do during the week when Jordan is at work.) Nissa loves animals, so she was so excited to see them. She loved the elephants. She's quite funny, she associates elephants with the sign toilet. When we saw the bears, Nissa looked up at me and plugged her nose. They were very smelly.
Break time.
She fell fast asleep on our walk home.

On Saturday, Jordan had a work party at Heritage Park. There were go-carts, pony rides, an alpine slide, paddle boats, and other carnival rides. Nissa was too small to go on most of the rides, but she enjoyed the ones that she could go on.

Her favorite thing to do was ride on the ponies. We spent most of the time riding the ponies. She loved them.
Enjoying the paddleboats.

Jordan and Nissa on the banana boats. I think Jordan enjoyed them more than Nissa.

Dandelions

Annissa loves picking flowers and sharing them with everyone.

While Jordan was away in Colorado, we stayed at my parents. Each morning we would go outside and ride in the play car, pick flowers, look for bugs, or enjoy the warm morning sun. My mom found a dandelion with the seeds still in it and wanted to show Nissa.

She was interested in looking, but not touching or blowing the seeds so they would fly all over the place.

Finally, she just walked away and found something else to do.

Water!

Annissa loves playing in water! It doesn't matter if it's dirty, clean, salty, or soapy.
