Nissa's 5th Birthday!

My sweet baby girl turned 5 on December 20th. I can't believe how quickly time has gone, it feels like yesterday that she was welcomed into the world. She is such a sweet, peaceful, happy, helpful, little 5 year old. She loves her Lily, her dolls, her Julie doll, her sister, her family, being outside, riding bikes, crafting, and playing with her friends and cousins. I sure love her. She is my best friend.

We had a little friend party for her before we moved. She invited her sweet little friends and they all had a blast. I think the parents even had a good time. I know I did.

This little one loved spinning on the teacups.

This little one, not so much.

Gabbie and Kat are the bestest little friends. They were born to be friends. They were born 3 days apart. They are sure little cuties.

Singing to the Birthday girl!

I tried to snap a picture of all the little kiddos, but it was very difficult. This was the best I could do. We sure love all these little friends and really miss them. Thanks for helping us celebrate Nissa's 5th birthday! We had a fabulous time.

Oh Christmas Tree

Since we were planning on moving right before Christmas, we wanted to make sure that we still did all the fun Christmas activities and traditions for the girls. For FHE we went and let the girls pick out a Christmas Tree. They chose a little Elf Tree. It was about 3 feet tall and very round. The girls were in love with it.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

We were so happy and lucky to have Jordan to ourselves for Thanksgiving and the rest of the weekend. We took advantage of this time and did lots of fun things together. Swimming, movies, and the zoo. This is not your ordinary zoo. This zoo is AMAZING! This lady in our ward told us about it, so we decided to take the hour drive to Colorado Springs and go. It was so fun. The highlight of the zoo was that it was on the mountain, and they really used the mountain to make the animals feel like they were really home in their natural habitat. It was beautiful. Another highlight were the giraffes. Let me show you why.

We got to feed them and pet them. It was such a cool experience. The girls were a little bit afraid, but gave it a try anyways.

Fun thing about the giraffes, is they are right there.

Nissa showing us what the giraffes do best, stick out their tongues.

Even though she was terrified, she gave it a try. I think their long purple tongues is what scared her.

We had such a fabulous experience. If you ever come to Denver, Cheyenne Mountain zoo is a must!

Halloween

We had a fantastic Halloween. The girls looked darling in their costumes, they loved trick-or-treating, and they ate as much candy as they possibly could.

Dad had trick-or-treating at work where they went from office to office. This was so fun to watch Kat. She was a pro. She went up and said trick-or-treat and then helped herself to the candy. Especially the chocolate. Nissa was very polite and quiet.

The community had trick-or-tricking, so we thought we would join in on the fun. The AMC movie theatre was there advertising for Puss in Boots, and were giving away these darling masks. The girls loved them.

My beautiful Rapunzel Nissa at her school parade. We were so lucky to have almost 70 degree weather on Halloween. It was perfect!

Getting ready to go to the neighbors house for Haunting Hot Dogs and Chillling Chili. I love how involved the neighborhood is around here. Everyone is so kind and welcoming.

Feet were tired, candy dumped out, and pj's on. It was time to watch for the trick-or-treaters and pass out candy. I think this was Nissa's favorite part of the evening. She loved passing out candy to the kids.

Happy Halloween!

1st day of Preschool

My sweet little girl started preschool. She loves learning, meeting and playing with new friends, and loves to pack her snacks. She was so happy to go to school. She had been talking about it for months. We started really late due to us moving, and then we were out of town for awhile, and then the school had a long fall break. She has now started, and loves every minute of it.
I sure love my sweet little girl! She is such a blessing in my life and is my best friend. I love her to pieces!

Gardner Village

I tried to squeeze in a lot of fun Halloween activities while we were in Utah. One day meant that we were going to Gardner Village to see the witches. Lately, Nissa has been obsessed with witches. Good witches, and bad witches. The good witches are nice and come visit her, and the bad witches are bad and don't obey. Its quite the funny little obsession. Zeke, Nissa, and Aunt Toria. We were happy that Toria could use her lunch break to join us for a little outing.

Kat didn't know what to think about the witches.

This little one has funny little quirks, like sticking her finger in her nose, for no reason at all. She's a funny little person.

Nissa was so excited to see a witch that had a pet frog. She insisted on a picture.

Taking a candy break.

Nissa thought it was hilarious that there would be a witch sitting in the out house.

Since she has been into posing for pictures, she wanted pictures with Mumma.

Nissa loved the witches.

Wheeler Farm with Cute Cousins

While we were in Utah, we were able to get together with some of the Olsen cousins. Granny O arranged for us to meet at Wheeler Farm. My girls were thrilled to see the animals, have a ride on the hay ride, and get pumpkins. Thanks for a great time.

Nissa was such a sweet girl to Zoe. These two little ones really connected and you can see they really love each other. I just love this picture. Nissa was thrilled to be such a big helper to her little sis, and to Zoe.

I love this little bum shot of Kat, Nissa, and Zoe.

Sweet, cute little girls.

Kat was so excited to get her own little pumpkin.

1st Time Fishing!

Our quick and spontaneous decision turned out to be quite a surprise for one of my favorite persons. It happened to be Gabi's birthday the day we were driving, so I kept it a secret that were coming. We arrived late that night. Knocked on the door at 11:00 or so, and had Gabi answer the door. I arranged this all with my mom and Victoria. Gabi answered the door, and was as shocked as she could be. Gabi started crying, which then caused me to start crying. It was really touching, and I so happy we could surprise her like that.

The next day that we were there, we pretty much took naps all day. I was exhausted. The Saturday that we there, my dad had planned a ward activity to go fishing. I was so excited. I couldn't wait to share such a fun activity with my girls. I loved fishing when I was little.

Kat was unsure what to think.

Mumma, Nissa, and Zeke standing on the dock trying to catch some fish. Isn't the water unbelievably beautiful?

Uncle Matt and Nissa trying to catch a fish.

Kristiina getting a taste of a sucker. Shhh, don't tell her mom. :)

Gabi ended up catching the biggest fish. She fell in love with fishing. She had never been before, and was in heaven.

Before we left, we saw these cute little carts that led to a mine. So, we thought, lets snap some pictures. Nissa has now started to pose for the camera. A little unsure where she learned how to pose like that. Funny little thing.

She really got into posing. She is such a funny little person.
