Sisters

Nissi loves her baby sister and can not get enough of her. She is so helpful with everything. Changing diapers, even dirty ones, getting her binky, getting her dressed, and just holding her and loving her.

Having a sister is such a sweet gift. I am grateful Nissi has a little sister to love and play with. I pray they will be the greatest friends and sisters, and will cherish eachother the way I cherish my sisters.

I love my little girls!

Heaven Sent

Katharine Eve
Born March 19, 2010
6 lbs. 14 oz.
19 3/4 inches long

Loves those fingers and is a very good eater! Hooray!

Sisters meet.
Before Nissa met her, she was waiting outside the room, where she was able to hear her first cry. Upon hearing her cry, Nissa replied to my mom and dad,
"She sounds like a chicken or duck."
Kat is our little spring chicka.

The first time I asked Nissa if she wanted to hold her baby sister, she replied, "not yet." Within minutes she was all over her.
Holding her all by herself. She is such a proud and good big sister.

Getting ready to go home.

The Funny Things Nissa Says and Does

Nissa has become quite the little character. Here are some of her silly moments.
Nissa sitting with all her kids on the top of the couch. She calls her babies "kids."
Hangs some of her clothes on the handrail, and when mom asks what she is doing, she responds, "Mom, I have too many clothes." Who knew a 3 year old would think they have too many clothes?

She grocery shops from the pantry, scans each item with her Barbie register and scanner, and puts everything in ziploc baggies. She is just too funny.

The other day, we were doing some grocery shopping at Target. I was looking at one thing at one end of the aisle and she was looking at something at the other end of the aisle. All of a sudden she yells, "Mom, Lily has a squishy bum like me." Everyone around us busted up laughing. I love my silly bug. She has quite the personality and I love her to pieces.

Getting Ready for Baby

Over at our house we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby sister. Nissa is so excited that she will be a big sister, she has been preparing with the help from Lily. We recently just got a new carseat, and Lily was the first one to test it out and go for a little ride around the house.

Nissa putting Lily in.
(Sorry for the blurry picture).

Off to try the play yard/changing table.
Diapers. Check

Wipes. Check
Baby Powder. Check

Put the diaper back on. Check
Nissa is going to be such a great big sister. She has already mastered the art of changing diapers, and buckling the carseat. She will be such a good helper.
Our little one will be coming next week, and we are so excited. I am getting induced so I can have my parents come out and help out with Nissa. We are so excited for them to come out and to spend some time with us and the new baby.

Tinkerbell Nissi

While cleaning the bathroom, little Tinkerbell Nissi had an idea of her own. Dress-ups and make-up. What a perfect combination. After she got the look she wanted, she came into where I was and said, "Look at my make-up, I look beautiful!" Oh, I love this girl.
