Happy Birthday

Our little bug turned 3 on December 20th, so we celebrated by having a little carnival.

Nissa asked for a 'polka hock' cake, so Aunt Alex made one for her. Nissa was so excited about it, that she just stared at it.

Daddy made hot dogs for everyone. They were sure tasty!

The popcorn filled the air with a delicious aroma.

Gabi was in charge of making the cotton candy. She did a great job.
I think this was all the little ones ate. They kept going back for 2nd's and 3rd's.

Nissa thought it was sure tasty.

Time to blow out the candles. As soon as the candles were out, she started picking off the dots as fast as she could and put them in her mouth. She thought they tasted yummy.
(It wasn't your usual fondant cake, it was marshmellow fondant. Which was delicious.)

Happy Birthday Lady Bug! Mommy and Daddy love you so much.

Daddy's Snow Bunny

With all this freshly fallen snow, Daddy and Nissa have had a wonderful time playing and sledding in the snow. Whenever Jordan is home from work, the only thing Nissa wants to do is go sledding with Daddy. They are great buddies!
I asked her today what her favorite thing about sledding is, and her reply,
"The bumps."
She is quite the little dare devil.

A little update!

We are back. A lot has happened in our little family. Jordan passed the BAR. Yea!!! We are extremely happy. So, in January we will be moving to Colorado to start a new job there. We are also welcoming a new little one into our family the end of March. We are so EXCITED!!!! Right now I am 17 weeks and finally starting to feel better, and in 3 weeks, we find out what the little bug is going to be. Can't wait. As for Nissa. She is a little stinker. She loves to act like a little mommy, taking Lily everywhere she goes. She changes Lily's diaper, puts her bed, and even puts pj's on her at night. She is preparing herself for a little brother or sister. We sure love her.

She is very helpful. Sometimes a little too helpful. My mom lets Nissa help her with the laundry. She showed her where the soap goes and what buttons to push to get it started. The other day my mom finds her downstairs in the laundry room and bubbles everywhere. She had decided that Lily needed her blanket washed. She poured the soap in and pushed the buttons and was doing laundry. Lily had a clean blanket, and she did it all herself. What a big girl. Oh, in case some of you are wondering who Lily is. She is her stuffed frog who she loves and adores.
Right now we are (still) trying to decide what to be for Halloween. Each day I ask Nissa what she wants to be, and each day it is something different. She has told me some funny things that she wants to be. A goat, an elephant, a witch, a princess, a bear, and Tinkerbell. We have yet to decide.

Like I mentioned above, she loves to be helpful. She loves to empty the dishwasher, do laundry, fold laundry, feed the animals, pick carrots from the garden, and much much more. Here she is the first time she picked carrots from the garden. She was so happy.

Again, too independent.

My sister, Victoria, got engaged to a great guy, Matt. They are getting married on December 5th. We are super excited and happy for them.

We went to the Elephant Parade with lots of fun people.

She loves to help Mumma feed the animals. Oh, and she recently started taking dance. So, when she came home from dance, she got her big boots on and headed outside to feed the animals. (Thus explaining why she is wearing a leotard outside in boots.)

And last but not least, Nissa got a bunny. She helps daddy take such good care of it. They take it outside on the grass for walks, they give it carrots and empty toilet paper rolls, and clean fresh food and water everyday. Oh, and Nissa named it herself. She calls him, Peanut Butter.
